Conversation is the key The most important word for me is "genuine". I'm not the kind of guy who can have my head in the clouds about just anyone. I also don't like being with girls who are hopeless romantics that fall in love at the drop of a hat. Women like that make me feel like they're more in love with being in love than with anything that has to do with me as an actual person. My idea of a romantic date is having so much in common and so much to talk about that I barely notice or remember at the end of the night where we went or what we did. I can enjoy myself at a romantic restaurant, the movies, the mall, what makes it special is who I'm with. I'm tired of being the guy with no standards just because I'm nice and into personality over physical appearance. Don't get me wrong, I'm realistic about my needs and I don't want to say just anyone will do, but if you don't turn me off or gross me out then you're in as far as looks are concerned. What's most important to me is that I don't have that sobering moment where reality hits me and I realize that I'm with someone completely wrong for me. Like I said, I tend to end up with girls who just want me for my looks (not a lot of alternative rock guys with long hair and half a brain in this town) or just to have a warm body to cuddle up with. It's just like being a whore or a ---- but instead of S-- it's romance. Word to the wise, love and S-- can BOTH be as cheap or as meaningful as you want. I do enjoy romance though, and once a genuine basis is established, I'll really get into candles, wine, flowers, poetry, and low soft music. Love to match wits too, not enough smart women out there who can still kick back and enjoy life.
