Hopeless romantic here...
When I fall for someone, I fall HARD! I put myself entirely at the disposal of my prospective partner...if there's anything I can do to help that person in any way, she doesn't have to ask, as I exert my considerable resources to anticipating and taking the appropriate action. And, although I'm generally a chill, non-violent Zen dude, if anyone should try to hurt her in any way, I'd rip out his liver and make him eat it, and I don't care if he's 6'6" and captain of the wrestling team.
(This attitude has gotten me into emotional trouble more than once, as 1) it hasn't often been reciprocated, and 2) SO many women really like the bad-boy type. Look at all of them throwing themselves at (gag) Luigi Mangione. But, life goes on.)
My idea of a romantic date, hmmm...exploring some aspect of nature, followed by a slow dinner (at a place not too hoity-toity, but decent), then something cultural (an actor myself, i prefer live theatre, but will tolerate some films; I wouldn't turn down a lecture on some topic of mutual interest), all this with constant talk back and forth. Gentle cuddling to follow.
